Knowing You Are There

Dezi and Raena with crying eagle saying thank you to Veterans
Hey, is anypawdy out there? It’s me RaenaBelle. Mommys been lookin’ at fotos of Eagles and our flag and cryin’ a little. She said today is Veterans Day. And dat sometimes it makes her sad.

Sissy? What is Veterans Day?

 Dezi on Eagle

Well Raena every November 11th we celebrate all those men, women and anipals dat served our Country in da military. Those who fought to make our Country great. Many lives were lost, and all lives were changed furever. You know da wondrous freedoms we have in America were bought with da blood and lives of many. Mommy says it’s purrtant to ‘member da families of all those who served in our military too. While they might not have been on da firing line, they served as well. Many of those families lost sons, daughters, fathers, brothers, sisters and furiends so dat we could be safe and free to worship, to speak our minds and so much more. Fank you all. We salute all our Vets and honor you today and everyday. Because of your sacrifice, your willingness to serve, we are safe and free.

 Raena over POW MIA eagle

Oh sissy, I’s so fankyful to all those who serve and did serve too. I’s sendin’ da biggest and loudest purrrrrrrrr salute to you all. Mommy says we should never take our good furtune fur granted, and dat we should always ‘member da sacrifices dat made it pawssible. Vets haven’t always been treated with da respect and gratitude they deserved. And fur dat, we are ashamed of our fellow Americans. Dat’s why mommy cries sometimes. She says, you might not always agree with da wars or military actions our government decides to take, but those who serve are only following da orders of our leaders and should be treated with da utmost honor and respect.

Dat’s right Raena. God Bless America!!!

It’s time fur da Pet Parade blog hop with Rascal and Rocco and their pawsum co-hosts too, right sissy?

Yep Raena. It’s gonna be a busy weekend fur us, so we better go ketch a nap while we can. We’ve got lots of visitin’ to do. Befur we go tho’ We wanna say Fank you again.

We sleep sounder, knowin’ you are there.

We walk prouder, knowin’ you are there.

We pray fur God to protect you as you protect us.

Let out Flag of Freedom fly high and our Country stay strong.

And let all of our soldiers return home,

where they belong.

Dezi and Raena in a waving flag frame honoring Veterans

And let God Bless America once again.

Till da next time……………………………….Be Blest!!!

About Deziz World

My name is Deztinee. I am a Ragdoll. I was born 11/1/2009. I am a service cat along with my sisfur RaenaBelle, also a Ragdoll, for our disabled human mommy. My sisfur Raena was born 4/21/2016. In March of 2016, mommy and I had to say goodbye to my mentor Alexandra (Lexi), a black tabby born 4/29/1999. This blog is about our daily life from the kitty's point of view. We were both rescued from bad situations and our mommy raised us and trained us to be service cats. I want this blog to be interactive and get to know all of you, so comment and visit often. I will also offer advice, training tips and education when possible. i was just commenting about service to our country at war, but please don’t forget about those who are still doing service to our country at home today. Whether they are serving in the military or helping all of our citizens during their everyday task of living, and also whether they are human friends or family or our companions in life including our pets. I don’t ever want to downplay our service men and women, but this begins at home. Like the steaks your supermarket boy gave you or help from a stranger. This is what makes our country great. From the smallest of deeds, the biggest changes can come. Happy belated Veterans Day. 🇺🇸

    • You are so right. We think sometimes peeps and anipals alike furget to be grateful fur da small things dat happen to them. With life bein’ so busy and so much bearin’ down on us, we overlook those small deeds of greatness. Let us never furget to stop and look around and give fanks everyday.

      Luv ya’

Did you know that many cats as well as dogs served in the military? Not only as mousers, ratters or mascots on ships, but some delivered secret messages back to headquarters and served as decoys in the trenches in both World Wars. I found all this out on my Facebook page. So nobody should be surprised at cats being therapy / service animals like you are. You two are heroes also and I give my salute to all therapy and service animals, both in war and in the military but at home too! We love you all – mommy Audra, Dezi and Raena as well as all those who came before and those who are helping out across the world today and always! 🤗👍🙋

    • We’ve heard stories, but don’t know da exact count. We do wish da government would recognize us, but mommy’s just grateful fur da support we do get and she’s grateful we are here to help her. We are fankful fur all those anipals who help others, and all those dat serve us and sacrifice fur us, whatever they do. There are many who serve us dat we never hear ’bout, but they are heroes just da same. Fank you fur bein’ in our lives. We luv ya’ll very much too.

      Big hugs

This hits me each day as I work, there are so many veterans there…and I thank them all, and its good to let them tell the stories they hold in their hearts so that we will b=never forget the brave deeds they did in order to preserve the freedom we enjoy and too often take for granted.
