Solid Gold Tuna #ChewyInfluencer

Meow Well, this month has just gotten away from us. Are you all feelin’ like that too? Since mommy had kinked up her neck and couldn’t hardly function, we kinda gave her yesfurday off. We tried visitin’ a few of ya’ but mommy just couldn’t really type well and since we still don’t have those opposable thumbs, we agreed to let her rest and give her extra massages and luvvin’. So today we need to do some business. We’re purroud to be Chewy Influencers and luv tryin’ out new and even old things to tell you all ‘bout. We’ve got somethin’ today, we know a lot of ya’ll are gonna luv.

Case of 6 Solid Gold Purrfect Pairing Cat food.

Mommy is always on the look out fur a high quality, good fur us wet food to supplement our meals. So when we saw the Solid Gold Purrfect Pairings Savory mousse this month, we couldn’t wait to give ‘em a try. You know we’ve heard this food refurred to as “kitty crack”. In a good way of course. That simply means that kitties everywhere luv it. So mommy headed over to take a look at the proteins bein’ offured. Now me must purrface this by meowin’ that mommy’s eye sight isn’t the bestest. Most of ya’ know this, cuz we sometimes complain ‘bout the black and white fotos, or smaller purrint. Mommy has trouble makin’ out the shapes without the contrast of color, and the small purrint kinda runs together. So, when she furst looked at the the name on these Solid Gold Purrfect Pairings, the word “mousse” appeared to mommy’s old eyes as “mouse”. (shakes head) Oh me’s poor mommy. MOL

Case of 6 Solid Gold Purrfect Pairings Cat Food.

Sur-purrisingly, mommy was a little on the happy side ‘bout that. Her eyes then focused and she realized that wasn’t mouse at all, but indeed, mousse. The Purrfect Pairings come in 6 different flavors and are a whipped mixture with goat milk to make that mousse texture. Much to mommy’s chagrin, all 6 flavors contain Tuna Fish. As you know, we don’t get much fish here, but mommy decided as a little treat every once in a while, this would be okay. Since tuna was in all the flavors, mommy decided to go all out and we got the Solid Gold Purrfect Pairings Savory Mousse with Tuna and Goat Milk Grain Free Cat Food Cups, 2.75 ounce. They come 6 to a case fur $8.34 and are also gluten free. Let’s see what Chewy says ‘bout these delectable treats.

Solid Gold Purrfect Pairings Cat Food Cup

Can you believe mommy’s never had a mousse? Well, she hasn’t, so she didn’t really know what texture this food would be till she opened the cup. Mommy decided to offur Raena and me a half cup each fur our mid afternoon snack. Mid afternoon snack is code fur Treat Time, that we usually eat on the cat tree and without plates. So to say we weren’t quite sure what to do with this “treat” is puttin’ it mildly. Uh, Where’s the freeze dried bits mommy? That was the question Raena and me were askin’ when we looked at our plates. So, mommy took the plates away and decided to offur it as a meal instead.

Aolid Gold Purrfect Pairings Mouse Cat Food dollop on plate

Dinner time rolled ‘round and again, mommy offured Raena and me a half cup each. Sayin’ me is picky, is an understatement. Me’s down right Finicky with a capital F. Ifin me doesn’t like the look, smell, or anythin’ else ‘bout somethin’, me doesn’t even want it near me. Mommy watched carefully with camera in hand, as me smelled the plate of tuna mousse. Me looked up at her and walked away. Mommy purromptly retrieved me and offurred me a bite from a spoon. Mommy thought the texture looked similar to baby food or a butter spoon mixture and that me might lick said spoon and learn how tasty this plate of tuna is. Yeah, NO. Me wasn’t havin’ it. Did she think me walkin’ away was an invitation to shove somethin’ in me’s mouth? Well, it wasn’t. Mommy relented and fixed me a purropurr plate and focused on Raena.

Raena with her eyes almost closed, looks up from plate of food.

She sure did sissy. That old flashy box was purractically in mines face. Nonetheless, I’s investigated that whipped dollop on mines plate. Furst I’s went in fur the smell. Then I’s tried to cover it up. Mommy removed the toys from mines plate and put me in front of it yet again. I’s looked at her and then you and down at the plate again. I’s took another sniff and then went in fur the lick. Yep, a lick not a bite. There wasn’t anythin’ on that plate to bite. The Solid Gold Purrfect Pairings are lighter than a typical pate’. A mousse incor-purrates air bubbles to make the texture light and airy. That certainly explains the texture of these Purrfect Pairings.

Raena looks up from her plate of food with a little bite stuck to her lip/

I licked several more times befur abandoning mines plate. Mommy says I’s looked a bit confused like I’s wasn’t sure ifin I’s had gotten anythin’ to eat or not. I’s did go back to the plate fur a few more licks and then I’s just moved on to sis Dezi’s plate fur a more substantial bite of food. I’s just not that fancy of a kitty. Give me a plate of solid bites instead of a plate of air. I’s know lots of kitties luv pate’ type foods and even more like tuna. So I’s would meow that you’d purrobably luvs this food. Fur that reason and the fact that there aren’t any of those questionable ingredients, I’s’ll give the Solid Gold Purrfect Pairings 2 paw up.

Raena eating from her china saucer

Fanks Raena. Me agrees, 2 paws up from me as well. The Solid Gold Purrfect Pairings are grain free, gluten free and don’t contain a list of questionable ingredients, so they’re fur sure on the list of good foods that be good fur ya’. No kitty likes everythin’, so just cuz this didn’t tickle me’s fancy doesn’t mean lots of you won’t like it. Ifin ya’ give it a try, let us know what you think. Me can think of several of ya’ right now that would luv these Purrfect Pairings. Mommy said she was disappointed that every flavor contained tuna, but that seemed to be prevalent in a lot of the foods from Solid Gold.

Service Cats: Raena and the Wheelchair Part 2

Welcome to another Service Cat Monday. Me’s been thinkin’ we need a special graphic fur these postys, what do ya’ll think? It’s still chilly here, and mommy did somethin’ that kinked up her neck. She says every time she moves there’s a jolt of pain that shoots through her body. Looks like we’ll be givin’ her lots of massages today. As always, we welcome your questions and comments ‘bout training and anythin’ in general. So ifin you have a training question, purrlease leave it in the comments or send us an email. We do our bestest to answer them quickly. Our Service Cat posts are not meant to be a step by step training manual, as training is all ‘bout Repetition, Consistency and Rewards; but rather tips, tricks and entertainment. The followin’ will be written in human English fur translation and reader ease. Ifin you’ve missed any of the posts in this series, you can ketch up by clickin’ the links at the bottom of this or any Service Cats post (each link opens in a new window). Okay, the business is outta the way, so let’s get to it.

Dezi laying in cat tree in new harness

We first want to address a concern brought to our attention by our dear friend Tucker from Feline Opines. Last week we addressed the issue of kitty begging for human food. Like many of our friends, Tucker, has some health issues and must be careful about the foods he eats. Altho’ we didn’t promote feeding your kitty/doggy from your plate, we did imply that it was okay to give, in limited quantities, some human food to your pets on their own plates in their own space. We did however, fail to say that any human food you feed to your kitty/doggy should be without any spices including salt and pepper, and should be an acceptable food for the particular animal. Here’s a couple of links to appropriate human food for cats: Pet Care RX and Care 2. And of course there’s always the balanced raw food diet that’s totally appropriate. The key word here is “Balanced”. There is a lot of information available as well as recipes for Raw diets, just make sure what you feed is balanced and contains all the necessary ingredients and supplements. Most of you know that we currently eat a commercially prepared freeze dried raw diet with added water or low sodium broths. Me’s not quite ready to sink me’s teeth into completely raw flesh and bone.

Raena checks out the noms awnty Anonymous sent.

Our favorite noms, Primal chicken and salmon and Whole Life duck.

We didn’t get any questions last week so we’re going to check in with Raena’s wheelchair training. We left off with Raena learning about the control panel and how to turn the chair on and off; and how to be comfortable with accidental button pushes including the horn. Let me say, Raena is really smart and not afraid of anything. Those qualities make for a great Service Cat, but they also keep everybody/kitty in the house on their toes. Y, Just the other night mommy decided to run up and check the mail. She was hurting really bad and decided to take the wheelchair instead of trying to walk to the mailboxes. It was close to dinner time, so mommy was in a hurry and decided she’d go alone. We can see her the whole time from the front door. Raena’s never been outside in mommy’s lap in the wheelchair and since it was dinner time, mommy didn’t even give a thought to taking Raena. Big mistake. Raena was prancing around in front of the wheelchair so much, mommy couldn’t even move. Mommy would never run over us ya’ know.

 Raena lays in the wheelchair

Finally, mommy relented and picked her up. Raena got all harnessed up and off they went. What should have taken 2 minutes, had turned into a full blown lesson and made dinner twenty minutes late. That girl just has no perception of time or that her antics always cause meal time to be late. Me isn’t sure her tummy clock works right. Anyways, harnessed up and positioned on mommy’s lap, Raena and mommy sat at the front door for a few minutes while mommy instructed Raena to turn on the chair. Raena seemed to be a little confused. We don’t normally wear our harnesses to drive the wheelchair in the house, nor is the chair facing the front door. Raena kept looking back at mommy and then the front door. Me was watching from a safe distance down the hall at the doorway of the bedroom. Raena may be smart, but that girl is dangerous for sure.

 Raena lays in the wheelchair

Mommy finally got tired of waiting, and hearing me meweek for dinner and pulled Raena to her lap. She opened the door and they headed out to the mailboxes. Me moved to the cat tree to watch the events as they unfolded. Mommy had the chair turned up to full speed ahead and before Raena knew it they were sittin’ in front of the mailboxes. Raena must have seen a bug or something because she started chirping and tried to jump down. Observing safely from the cat tree in the house, me thought we were never going to get dinner. Me started squeaking out meows left and right. “Raena, you’re causing dinner to be late!” me meowed. “Raena, me’s starving!” Me added. Did she care? No. Mommy put the mail in the side bag on the chair and repositioned Raena on her lap and told her to turn on the chair.

 Dezi lays in the wheelchair

Raena looked at mommy and at the house. Me’s sure she could see and hear me, so me meowed out again. She slowly moved her paw towards the control panel and a car zoomed past on the highway. Her head turned and her eyes darted towards the highway as she fell back into mommy’s lap. Of course the car was gone by then, but Raena didn’t really understand that. Mommy cooed at Raena and repositioned her yet again, and instructed her to turn on the chair. Mommy began crooning one of her made up praise songs about how smart Raena was and how much mommy loved her. Raena seemed to get a jolt of courage and pawed the power button as well as the horn. By this time me just knew the whole complex was watching. You can’t see them, but let me tell ya’, these old folks are nosier than a nose. If something’s going on in the parking lot, they’re all watching from their doors and windows.

Raena lays in wheelchair

Anyways, mommy gently told Raena to get off the horn and positioned her head over the joystick and told her to bite. They must have spent 47 hours 5 minutes with mommy trying to get Raena to bite the joystick before mommy pulled Raena back into her lap and zoomed back home. The reality is, there are too many distractions outside for a lesson. But anytime kitty is eager to train, you need to take advantage of it. And remember, if kitty gets any part of the training right, they get rewarded. So Raena got lots of extra love. Altho’ she hadn’t bit the joystick or drove the chair, she did turn the chair on and for the most part sat quietly in mommy’s lap. Even tho’ she initially tried to get down to chase whatever she saw, she calmed quickly when mommy told her “No”. And yes, me ran down the hall as they approached the door. Mommy’s pretty dangerous behind the joystick too. And yes, we finally got dinner.

A Chilly Blest Sunday

Meow Welcome to a chilly Blest Sunday. There Raena was meowin’ on ‘bout how warm it was and what nice weather we were havin’ and it went and froze up yesfurday.

Raena lays on the floor in the meatloaf position

Hey sissy. Don’t blame that on me. You were meowin’ ‘bout the warm weather too.

 Dezi sits on scratcher

Me wasn’t blamin’ ya’ Raena, me was just makin’ an observation.

Well, maybe next time your observations shouldn’t sound like accusations. Don’t you think I’s soundin’ smart usin’ all these big words?

Dezi and Raena on the Liberty Cat Tree

Yeah, Sure Raena, whatever. Did you enjoy your play date with Simon the fluff tail

Raena profile from the back of the chair

Mommy furgot to ask ifin we could borrow a foto, so go over to

Brian’s and check out that cutey Simon.

(Raena blushes and coyly tucks her chin against her chest. She slow blinks and quietly meows)

Yes, I’s did. You know he has a pawsum home over at Brian’s place, but like you, Brian and his sisfurs aren’t all that innerested in playin’ like us young’uns. And since Simon’s sisfur’s a little shy, she doesn’t wanna romp and stomp and zoomie thru the house either. That’s somethin’ peeps should remember when bringin’ a new kitty home. You know I’s sure that just like mommy, Simon’s pawrents put a lot of thought into these things too. When ya’ bring a kitten into a house with older kitties, the humans are gonna need to purrvide some extra playtime fur the young’uns, cuz the older kitties might not be able/want to keep up.

Dezi and Raena playing patty cake

You’ve all been waitin’ to see our furst game of patty cake foto. Sorry it’s not da bestest, but here it is.

You’re right Raena. Mommy’s really glad we have several of those automated toys cuz her arms tire out long befur you do. That reminds me ‘bout an email we got. As you all know, mommy has us microchipped even tho’ we’re basically inside only kitties. We highly recommend microchipping your pets. You just never know what might happen. Anyways, our chips are registered with a company called PetLink. It’s really convenient, and you can add pets any time, even ifin their chips originated from another company. You can update information easily online or by callin’ them. And right now they’re offerin’ a special off their normal price of $19.99. Use the code ADDPET and get 50% off. This ain’t a sponsored post and we’re not getting’ anythin’ fur meowin’ ‘bout this, we just think this is really purrtant. No matter where your pet is registered, purrlease keep the infurmation up to date.

 PetLink.net logo

That’s pawsum advice sissy. There’s no point in microchipping your pet ifin you’re not gonna keep the infurmation up to date. You fur sure don’t wanna think ‘bout what could happen to your beluvved furry ifin they were to get lost and your contact infurmation was out of date and you couldn’t be found.

(Raena and Dezi shake their heads and shiver all over)

Oh Raena, me’s so glad mommy sets a reminder fur every 6 months to check our account and make sure all the numbers are good. She also regularly updates what foods we eat, our favorite treats, and our fotos. We are blest to have a mommy who luvs us so much.

Dezi bathes in front of the fireplace with the nip nanner in reach

Notice me’s Nip Nanner is right there. Me can have a quick

bath and then play.

We sure are. And we’re also blest to have so many pawsum furiends. Mommy was just talkin’ to one last night, who called themselves our “reader”. We purreciate all our readers, but mommy reminded this purrson that they’re not just our reader, they’re also our furiend. Furiends are those who luv ya’ no matter. Just cuz ya’ ain’t met in the face to face or fur to fur doesn’t make you any less of a furiend. You know, we blab all right here in the open and several of ya’ meow and chat back and forth with us thru the comments and some via email. Either way, you get to know more ‘bout us and us ‘bout you. And isn’t that what furiends do?

Dezi, lays on the back of the chair for a npa while the house is being cleaned.

It is Raena. And we are fur sure blest in that depawrtment. We’re just blest all ‘round. Fank you all fur bein’ a pawrt of our lives. We want to remind you all to take a minute today and everyday to give fanks fur the blessings in your lives. We’re joinin’ the Kitties Blue fur Sunday Selfies even tho’ we don’t do a lot of selfies. It’s just a fun blog hop ya’ might wanna check out.

Raena enjoys a LumaSoothe treatment

Check it out. Don’t you wonder what’s goin’ on?

Dezi enjoys a LumaSoothe treatment while laying in mommy's lap

We thought we’d use our selfies to give ya’ a little look at

somethin’ pawsum we’ve got comin’ up fur ya’ll.

And we wanna remind everypawdy ‘bout mommy’s fundraiser here. Not much is happenin’ there, but we’re still tryin’ to raise the money. Mommy’s also written to a couple of shows and peeps that sometimes donate these types of services. We’ve not heard back from any of them yet, but we do have our paws crossed. And we got a pledge from an awnty Anonymous fur a thousand dollars ifin we could get the rest. In other words ifin we get all the money and only lack $1000.00, she’ll donate it to get mommy the work she needs. Yeah, you know mommy did a lot of cryin’ over that one. We are so fankful fur that offur. You can also donate directly to our Paypal account without any fees. Our paypal email address is: lexi.dezi@yahoo.com. We wanna say a meowsy big Fank You to Erin (check out the little Tuxie Pricess’s bloggy, she’s a real cutey) and awnty Julie fur their recent donations. Erin said, “Every little bit means a little bit less is needed.” She’s so right. So ifin you can help, we sure would purreciate it. We’d also purreciate shares and purrayers.

Anyways, we’re gonna get outta here now and see ‘bout playin’ some. Maybe Simon, can come back fur another play date with Raena. We hope the weather warms up again soon, but it is still winter so you never know. MOL  Here’s purrayin’ ya’ll have a pawsumly blest Sunday.

Chatting Cats: Scattered Raena Is All Over the Place

Hey, is anypawdy out there? It’s me, RaenaBelle. I’s hope ya’ll had a good week. We had such pawsum weather, you’d’a thought it was Spring time. We’ve really enjoyed these warmer days, but mommy says it means she’s gonna need to get some Bengal outdoor foggers cuz it hasn’t been cold enuff to kill anythin’. Welllllll, mommy’s no killer, so I’s had to ask what she meant. She says we have creepy crawlers, like spiders, scorpions, fleas, ticks and all manner of pests that have multiplied 10 times over this year.

Dezi atop the Liberty cat tree

Me can tell ya’, you don’t want any fleas Raena. Me had those when me was little and almost died.

 Raena in her yogi pose

Oh sissy, they sound pawful.

Baby Dezi lays in a basket atop a soft bath towel

They are. And at the time, me was too young fur flea purroducts and the fleas had given me those nasty tape worms too. Of course me was too young fur tape worm medicine too. Fankfully mommy knew what to do and got rid of both those nasties and saved me. And, every year she tries to treat right outside our ‘pawrtment. But this year we’re gonna be needin’ a couple of them Bengal outdoor fogger cans. Mommy swears by the stuffs and says it has a money back guarantee. By the way, we ain’t getting’ paid or nuffin’ free fur sayin’ this. We just know some of ya’ have purroblems with fleas and such, and thought we’d tell ya’ how we treat fur ‘em.

Raena lays on top of the Liberty Cat Tree

It’s good ya’ said that sissy, wouldn’t want anypawdy thinkin’ we’s gettin’ paid fur somethin’ we’re not. MOL  We also included the link to their site in case any of ya’ wanna check it out. You can buy most of it at your local feed store or hardware stores.

Anyways, there’s this cool blog hop called Shoppin’ ‘Round the World that pawrently sissy used to purrticipate in. Seems they quit cuz mommy wasn’t goin’ to the grocery stores and didn’t get the ads, so they didn’t know the purrices of stuffs anymore. We really wanted to purrticipate with Sammy and Teddy, so we looked online. But none of our stores have web sites, or ifin they do, they don’t list purrices. Somepawdy mentioned Wally World, but since we don’t have any delivery services, they just say “see your local store fur current purrices”. Altho’ mommy got dumped off at Wally World last week, checkin’ purrices was the last thing on her mind. She totally furgot ‘bout the blog hop. We did get a Family Dollar ad this week, but the only groceries they had on sale was a box of crackers and a can of soup. Nopawdy here eats soup, so we’ll be skippin’ the blog hop. Altho’, we are curious to see the purrices in your areas.

Dezi sits in a chewy box

Yep, the only things mommy buys on a regular are our noms, supplements and litter. We can fur sure tell ya’ what they cost. MOL  Mommy says we’re her most ‘spensive bill every month.

That’s true sissy. But she also says she wouldn’t have it any other way.

You sure are all over the place today Raena.

Raena peaking out of a chewy box

Well sissy, I’s havin’ one of those kind’a days. I’s been in to anythin’ and everythin’ I’s could…And all befur brekky. MOL

Yeah me knows. Mommy finally told ya’ the more messes you made that she had to clean up, the longer it was gonna be befur we got brekky.

Yeah she did. Who knew? I’s settled down real quick when she said that. She already moves in slow motion. I’s sure didn’t wanna slow her down any more.

          Raena…Don’t make fun of mommy.

 Dezi and Raena eat

I’s wasn’t makin’ fun sissy. I’s was just meowin’ it like it is.

Well, ya’ don’t meow everythin’ that pops in your head. Just like ya’ don’t jump on me just cuz me walks by.

But it’s so much fun sissy. Besides, more offen than not, I’s jump over you and not actually on you.

On, over, semantics. Either way, ya’ shouldn’t do it.

 Dezi checks out the AeroGarden,

Dezi checks out the AeroGarden

I’s’ll think ‘bout it sissy. On another note, the Aerogarden’s doin’ great. Mommy’s getting’ really excited. Looks like it might be another week befur she can harvest enuff fur a salad, but she did pull a leaf off last night and give it a try. She says it was nice and crunchy and tasted delishus. She was so delighted, sissy thought she might try a bite too. Mommy wasn’t very happy ‘bout that. She told us to leave her lettuce alone. Hmmmmpht  Guess it’s back to the grass fur me.

Befur you confuse everypawdy even more and run off on another subject Raena, let’s wrap this up. We’re linkin’ up with Rascal, Rocco and their pawsum co-hosts fur the weekly Pet Parade Bloghop.

Dezi sits on the brown cat tree in her signature pose

Me is a 7 year old 30 – 35 pound Ragdoll Service Cat. Now me’s not overweight; we Ragdolls are just normally large kitties. There are other breeds that be rather large as well. Thing is, even tho’ we’re not overweight, we’re still luggin’ all that weight around with every jump up or down, climb or zoomy we make. That has an affect on our joints over time, and we might start feelin’ it a little earlier than some of the smaller breeds. But let me tell ya’, doesn’t matter your size, breed, or species, old man Arfur-Itis comes to visit all of us at some time or another, just ask mommy.

Dezi bathes in front of the fireplace

Us kitties are notorious fur hidin’ our pains. So what do you do as our human caretaker? Well, ya’ keep an eye out fur those tell tail tale signs: a small limp, not as many zoomies, lower/slower jumps, less play and all ‘round activity and/or more naps. Ifin ya’ see any of these signs, kitty/doggy just might be sufferin’ from old man Arfur-Itis visits’. Of course you should check with your VET anytime you suspect there’s a purroblem. It’s confurmed, you’re beloved anipal is sufferin’ from achy joints and you want to give them somethin’ to ease that pain.

Dezi poses by the box of Nutramax Cosequin joint relief capsules for cats

Glucosamine and Chondroitin have been acknowledged by the medical community as bein’ helpful fur those achy joints. Nutramax has several formulas available fur both kitties and doggies. We tried out the Cosequin joint health supplement for cats. We received a box of 30 capsules which cost $8.96. These capsules are intended to be opened and sprinkled on our food. Me will tell ya’ that mommy’s initial reaction was not pleasant. So much of Feline medicine is based on what works fur Canines. Most doggies will eat anything no matter how bad it tastes. Us kitties…Not so much. And ifin you ever taint our favorite noms with medicine? Yeah, we’re not eatin’ that again. MOL  Let’s take a look at what Chewy says ‘bout the Nutramax Cosequin Supplement fur Cats.

Key Benefits

  • #1 vet recommended formula provides powerful joint support

  • With a blend of manganese, glucosamine and chondroitin

  • Recommended by veterinarians to support bladder health, a major concern for cats

  • These capsules can be broken apart and sprinkled on or mixed with your cat’s favorite wet food

  • Helps maintain healthy joints to keep your furry friend happy and healthy

Now what’s contained inside those capsules:

Ingredients

  1. Glucosamine Hydrochloride, Sodium Chondroitin Sulfate, Manganese. Other Ingredients: Gelatin, Natural Flavor, Water, Magnesium Stearate, Titanium Dioxide(Color), FD&C Red #3, And FD&C Blue#1.

Now let me break down those active ingredients fur ya’. Each capsule contains a minimum of 1mg of Manganese, 125mg Glucosamine Hydrochloride and 100mg of Sodium Chondroitin Sulfate. Dosage size is based on the size of the animal. Fur me, it takes 2 capsules a day; 10 pounds and under would be 1 capsule. That means the 30 capsules we received would last ‘bout 2 weeks. The box claims it will take ‘tween 4 – 6 weeks to see results. And once the desired response has been achieved the dosage can be cut back to every other day fur maintenance. You may increase the dosage as needed.

 Nutramax Cosequin Capsules for cats

Now, let’s get to the testin’. Against mommy’s better judgment, she opened said capsule and started sprinkling on me’s food. She soon realized that like most “sprinkle/mix on food” supplements me would have more medicine than food, and that was only one capsule. So mommy stopped adding after ‘bout a third of the capsule. Then, she gave it to me to eat. Yeah, No. Me wasn’t havin’ any of that. Me instead, stole sis Raena’s food and mommy had to make her another plate. Mommy really wants to make sure me’s joints are healthy, so fur the next dose, mommy mixed me up a little “Butter Spoon”. Mommy offen hides nasty medicine in a dab of butter. Most kitties will gladly lick a “Butter Spoon” clean. So it was no surprise when me licked up that “tainted” butter like it was the last butter on earth.

Cosequin sprinkled over freeze dried cat food

A little Cosequin sprinkled over me’s freeze dried food before water added. Yep mommy sure is messy. MOL

So me would rate the Cosequin two paws up. Me didn’t take it long enuff to really see any results, so we can’t speak to that, but me did gladly take each “Butter Spoon” dose fur the next 14 days. Ifin you have a really finicky kitty, we definitely suggest you NOT add this supplement to their food, but rather find another medium to administer it, such as butter, baby food, olive oil, maybe a treat pocket or the likes. Raena’s not yet a year old, so she didn’t try the Cosequin at all, but she did have a blast with the box. Cuz mommy was able to get me to take the medicine, she gives it a thumb up. We’ve heard great things ‘bout Cosequin and feel it might actually work ifin you take it as directed.

As me said earlier, Nutramax does make several formulas and sizes. Fur our pawcket book this would get a little pricey over time. But you all know, mommy would do whatever she could to make sure we kitties have what we need. So all in all, we would recommend the Nutramax Cosequin joint supplement fur Cats or Dogs.
