The ingredients look purretty good and we like the made in the USA pawrt fur sure. But, the only thing that really matters is does it taste good, did we wanna eat it. The cans are packed full, but the gravy’s not very gravy like; so mommy added water to thin it out some. Ya’ know, it’s really ‘purrtant fur us kitties to get that added moisture in our diets. Anyhow, mommy offured us a plate of turkey the furst night. Neither sissy or me wanted any pawrt of that. Mommy says she wasn’t terribly surpurrised since we don’t typically eat any canned turkey.
Yeah Raena, you’d think mommy would get the message and quit tryin’ to get us to eat it.
Mommy says she keeps hopin’ sissy. Anyways, the next day mommy gave us a can of the American Journey chicken bites in gravy. Again, she had to add water to thin out the gravy.
Thin or thick, me didn’t like it Raena. Me does think the ingredients look good, but me just didn’t wanna have anythin’ to do with it. However, based on the ingredients, me has to give it a paw up.
Well sissy, I’s did try it. I’s think the look on mine’s face says it all. MOL It was okay, but I’s do purrfur me some rabbit. I’s licked up the gravy and ate a few bites of the meaty pieces befur callin’ it a day. Fanky fankfully, we got to go visit with awnty Nora, Roo and the rest of the kitties at the cat motel and we gave them the rest. Skoshy luvved it. Meowed it was a 4 paws up fur sure. That’s why we always meow, just cuz we don’t luv somethin’ doesn’t mean your kitty won’t. Like sissy, I’s give it 1 paw up too.
That’s so true Raena. Ya’ never know what kitty might like. That’s another pawsum reason to shop with Chewy. Right now, you just can’t beat the purrice of the American Journey Grain Free canned cat food. They even make it fur the woofies too. Hey, is anypawdy out there? It’s me, RaenaBelle. Furstly, I’s sure wanna fanky fank everypawdy fur their purrayers. Sis Dezi is feelin’ much better and availin’ herself of the pawtty box again. Mommy seems much happier ‘bout that too. I’s really gonna miss the slip slidey piddle pads all over the place. What fun!!! Mommy will purrobably be a lot happier ‘bout that too. Anyways…
RaenaBelle!!! We ain’t spendin’ a whole ‘nother posty meowin’ ‘bout me’s piddle issues. But, me really does ‘purreciate the purrayers. Now, we’ve got a review to write today.
Sure ‘nuff sissy. As most of ya’ know, we eat freeze dried noms on the regular. As anypawdy who has ever shopped freeze dried raw noms knows, it’s kind’a ‘spensive. ‘Course, mommy says ‘nuffin’ but the bestest fur her girls. We sure are Blest. Anyways, that bein’ said, we’re on a fixed income so mommy’s always lookin’ fur ways to save a few dollars while still purrvidin’ us with the bestest quality on the market. To do that, mommy mixes a couple of brands of freeze dried noms together. Mommy’s also always lookin’ fur new proteins fur us to try. While it might not be ideal fur us kitties to eat somethin’ different at every meal, it’s also not good fur us to eat only one food or protein. Ya’ never know when fur whatever reason (allergies, health problems, etc.), we might need to mix it up. So, we all got x’cited to see Stella and Chewy’s freeze dried cat food up fur review this month from Chewy.
This is a sponsored post. We received a 3.5 oz bag of food in exchange fur our honest opinion. Neither Chewy nor Stella & Chewy’s are responsible for the opinions expressed in this post unless otherwise stated. As always, we tell it like we see it and only bring products we use or have tried and believe would be of interest to you, our readers and friends.
Yep Raena, we sure were. Me used to eat it all the time, till we got a few bags that had way too much bone in them and mommy saw that they were usin’ that bad vitamin K. But wait, savvy customers like mommy and most of ya’ll alerted the peeps at Stella & Chewy’s and they removed the bad stuffs from their noms in Feruary 2017. Now that’s the kind’a respawnse we’d all like to see from pet food manufacturers, ain’t it?
Yep sissy, it sure is. Anyways, as most of ya’ know, we luvs us some rabbit. Unfurtunately, mommy says rabbit is one of the most ‘spensive proteins on the market; so she has to supplement our rabbit with other proteins. That mostly means chicken, but Stella & Chewy’s make other proteins too: Salmon & Chicken, Duck, Duck, Goose, Tummy Ticklin’ Turkey, Sea-licious Salmon and Cod and of course, Chicken and our fave, Rabbit. They also have lots of flavors fur the woofies. You might ‘member that we luvs us some fureshly baked turkey tom lurkey, so mommy thought she’d get us a bag of that Stella & Chewy’s Tummy Ticklin’ Turkey to try. Let’s see what Chewy says ‘bout it:
Turkey with Ground Bone, Turkey Liver, Turkey Gizzard, Pumpkin Seed, Potassium Chloride, Sodium Phosphate Monobasic, Choline Chloride, Taurine, Dried Pediococcus acidilactici Fermentation Product, Dried Lactobacillus acidophilus Fermentation Product, Dried Bifidobacterium longum Fermentation Product, Tocopherols (Preservative), Calcium Carbonate, Zinc Proteinate, Zinc Sulfate, Iron Sulfate, Iron Proteinate, Vitamin E Supplement, Niacin, Copper Sulfate, Copper Proteinate, Riboflavin, Manganese Sulfate, Sodium Selenite, Manganese Proteinate, Thiamine Mononitrate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Folic Acid, Calcium Iodate, Vitamin B12 Supplement
145 kcal/oz, 5,140 kcal/kg
Real raw nutrition in the convenience of freeze-dried. Serve as is or rehydrate by adding warm water.
Made in Stella & Chewy’s own USA kitchen with cage-free turkey and 100% organic-certified fruits and vegetables.
Never contains grains, gluten, fillers, artificial preservatives, or colorings.
Simple, pristine recipe with limited ingredients and rich in protein.
Pet parents and vets report raw feeding supports an improved appetite, digestion, immune system, teeth and gum health, skin and coat, and can help relieve allergies.
See? They took out the Menadione Sodium Bisulfate Complex (Vit. K). There’s also none of that carrageenan or gums to worry ‘bout. Mommy does wish they would also take out all the “Sulfates” and use only the “Proteinates”. But hey, till she’s ready to make our food herself, nuffin’s gonna be purrfect, right?
True enuff sissy. Let’s get to the taste testin’. That’s mine’s favorote pawrt. We like small bites, so mommy had to break the little nuggets in half and add some water. I’s not a fan of the Tummy Ticklin’ Turkey. I’s would much rather have a freshly cooked turkey tom lurkey. But, I’s do like that the company lissens to it’s customers, so fur that reason me will give it 2 paws up. What ‘bout you sissy?
Eh, like you Raena, me much purrfurs fresh turkey tom lurkey. But me agrees, lissenin’ to your customers is always a good thing. So me will give it 2 paws up as well. Fankfully, they also carry chicken and our favorite rabbit. They also come in a variety of sizes, 3.5 oz, 9 oz, 12 oz and 18 oz bags. Cost ranges from $9.49 to $37.99. And there’s always speedy free shippin’ on all orders $49.00 and up; and, flat rate speedy shippin’ on all others.
Don’t furget ‘bout Chewy’s customer service peeps, sissy. They are pawsum. You can shop with confidence any hour and any day of the year. And every box is a toy. MOL Chewy has purroducts fur all the furry, finned, scaled and non furries in your family. You can also set up an auto ship so you never run out of your faves and save an extra 5%. Don’t worry, you can always skip, cancel or delay any shipment, as well as add to or remove items within 24 hours of shipping. You’ll even get a reminder email, so ya’ don’t have to ‘member when your shipment is comin’. Guess we’ll wrap it up fur today. We’ve got lots to do, so we’ll be ‘round as soon as we can.

Hey, is anypawdy out there? It’s me, RaenaBelle. Ya’ll might ‘member, just a short time ago, I’s couldn’t eat and keep mine’s food down. I’s also had the wheezy sneezies. Mommy said I’s was a bit of a mess. Fanky fankfully, I’s feelin’ better now. Anyways, durin’ that time, mommy was tryin’ everythin’ she could think of to get some food in me. ‘Nuffin’ was workin’, and then just as quickly as it started, it stopped. I’s a happy girly ‘bout that fur sure. And, I’s got better just in time to try out some new noms we got from Chewy.
We’re really blest to get to try out so many new things Raena. Not everythin’ can be a hit, but we do like to try ‘em.
This is a sponsored post. We received the Instinct Grain-Free Minced Recipe in exchange for our honest opinion. Neither Chewy or Nature’s Variety are responsible for the opinions in this post, unless otherwise stated. As always, we tell it like we see it; and, only bring products we use or have tried and believe would be of interest to you, our readers and friends.
You’re right ‘bout that sissy; on both accounts. Anyways, we received a whole case of Nature’s Variety Instinct Grain-Free Minced Recipe with real Rabbit wet food cups. They come 12 to a case in 3.5 ounce cups. They also come in Chicken, Tuna and Salmon, fur $21.48 each. We tend to like the gamier meats, and mommy doesn’t like to feed us fishys, so of course it was rabbit fur us. That happens to be one of our favorite meats. Anyways, let’s check out what Chewy has to say ‘bout the Instinct Minced cups.

Delicious minced texture entices your cat to take a bite and unlock his ability to thrive.

Pork Broth, Rabbit, Pork Liver, Pork, Egg Whites, Ground Dried Peas, Spinach, Carrots, Ground Flaxseed, Montmorillonite Clay, Guar Gum, Natural Flavor, Sodium Phosphate, Salt, Calcium Carbonate, Dried Kelp, Potassium Chloride, Choline Chloride, Minerals (Iron Proteinate, Zinc Proteinate, Copper Proteinate, Manganese Proteinate, Sodium Selenite, Potassium Iodide), Vitamins (Vitamin E Supplement, Thiamine Mononitrate, Niacin Supplement, d-Calcium Pantothenate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Riboflavin Supplement, Vitamin A Supplement, Biotin, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Folic Acid), Taurine, Xanthan Gum, Artichokes, Cranberries, Pumpkin, Tomato, Blueberries, Broccoli, Cabbage, Kale, Parsley
854 kcal/kg, 85 kcal/3.5 oz bowl
So, as you can see by the ingredients and fotos, there’s a lot of veggies included. I’s think they used the whole garden. There’s also a nice amount of “gravy”. It’s a little thin to be called gravy in our opinion, but at least it didn’t spill out all over the place when mommy pulled the foil off the cup. They don’t list the Vit. D source, so we can only surmise that it must be the bad one. But, we were on board to try it out.
Maybe you were Raena, but me didn’t like the smell of it. Mommy kept tryin’ to get me to have a little taste, ifin not fur anythin’ else, a foto op. But, with all the green stuffs floatin’ ‘round, me could only think of your stinky potty times.
Well sissy, I’s sniffed it a few times and even took a couple licks of the gravy, but it just wasn’t fur me either. So, I’s meowed to mommy to take it to our new furiend and neighbor Nubs to try. Seems he luvvsed it and couldn’t get enuff. His mommy said he’d eat 2 whole cups ifin she’d let him. Altho’ she said at furst she’d offured it to him in the original cup and he wouldn’t eat it. She wasn’t aware of Whisker Stress, but did furinally put it in a regular plate. Once there, she said he gobbled it up and begged fur more. Nubs is a chatty kitty fur sure. Mommy says he’s always meowin’ at her durin’ her visits.
Me’s glad somekitty could enjoy it, Raena. Mommy can’t ever seem to be there durin’ meal times tho’. Maybe some day we’ll actually get to see Nubs enjoyin’ a nice meal. We luv helpin’ our furiends find good noms. Ms. A recently became a Chewy customer after Nubs quit eatin’ his prior noms.
Yep, he liked the noms from Chewy that we gave him so well, he started refusin’ to eat that old kibble Ms. A had been feedin’ him. Betch’a she gets him some more of these when they run out too. So, there ya’ have it, sissy and me didn’t want any pawrt of the Instinct Grain Free Minced Recipe with Rabbit, but Nubs gives it 4 paws up. Mommy says she’d give it one thumb cuz the “gravy” didn’t make a mess. As fur Chewy? As always we give them 4 paws each and 2 thumbs.
That’s right Raena. Chewy has purroducts fur all the furry, feathered, finned and even non furries in your family. They offur speedy free shippin’ on all orders of $49.00 and up and a flat rate speedy shippin’ on all others. They have a great auto ship purrogram that makes sure you never run outta your favorite noms or litter or Treats!!! And you get a great box to play in too.
Who doesn’t luvs a great Chewy box sissy? And, with Christmas right ‘round the corner, Chewy is a great place to shop fur all the anipals and anipal luvvers in your life. Let’s go play now sissy, befur the storms start up again.
