Hey, is anypawdy out there? It’s me, RaenaBelle. Ya’ll might ‘member, just a short time ago, I’s couldn’t eat and keep mine’s food down. I’s also had the wheezy sneezies. Mommy said I’s was a bit of a mess. Fanky fankfully, I’s feelin’ better now. Anyways, durin’ that time, mommy was tryin’ everythin’ she could think of to get some food in me. ‘Nuffin’ was workin’, and then just as quickly as it started, it stopped. I’s a happy girly ‘bout that fur sure. And, I’s got better just in time to try out some new noms we got from Chewy.
We’re really blest to get to try out so many new things Raena. Not everythin’ can be a hit, but we do like to try ‘em.
This is a sponsored post. We received the Instinct Grain-Free Minced Recipe in exchange for our honest opinion. Neither Chewy or Nature’s Variety are responsible for the opinions in this post, unless otherwise stated. As always, we tell it like we see it; and, only bring products we use or have tried and believe would be of interest to you, our readers and friends.
You’re right ‘bout that sissy; on both accounts. Anyways, we received a whole case of Nature’s Variety Instinct Grain-Free Minced Recipe with real Rabbit wet food cups. They come 12 to a case in 3.5 ounce cups. They also come in Chicken, Tuna and Salmon, fur $21.48 each. We tend to like the gamier meats, and mommy doesn’t like to feed us fishys, so of course it was rabbit fur us. That happens to be one of our favorite meats. Anyways, let’s check out what Chewy has to say ‘bout the Instinct Minced cups.

Includes whole-food ingredients you can see, like carrots, spinach and cranberries.
Delicious minced texture entices your cat to take a bite and unlock his ability to thrive.

854 kcal/kg, 85 kcal/3.5 oz bowl
So, as you can see by the ingredients and fotos, there’s a lot of veggies included. I’s think they used the whole garden. There’s also a nice amount of “gravy”. It’s a little thin to be called gravy in our opinion, but at least it didn’t spill out all over the place when mommy pulled the foil off the cup. They don’t list the Vit. D source, so we can only surmise that it must be the bad one. But, we were on board to try it out.
Maybe you were Raena, but me didn’t like the smell of it. Mommy kept tryin’ to get me to have a little taste, ifin not fur anythin’ else, a foto op. But, with all the green stuffs floatin’ ‘round, me could only think of your stinky potty times.
Well sissy, I’s sniffed it a few times and even took a couple licks of the gravy, but it just wasn’t fur me either. So, I’s meowed to mommy to take it to our new furiend and neighbor Nubs to try. Seems he luvvsed it and couldn’t get enuff. His mommy said he’d eat 2 whole cups ifin she’d let him. Altho’ she said at furst she’d offured it to him in the original cup and he wouldn’t eat it. She wasn’t aware of Whisker Stress, but did furinally put it in a regular plate. Once there, she said he gobbled it up and begged fur more. Nubs is a chatty kitty fur sure. Mommy says he’s always meowin’ at her durin’ her visits.
Me’s glad somekitty could enjoy it, Raena. Mommy can’t ever seem to be there durin’ meal times tho’. Maybe some day we’ll actually get to see Nubs enjoyin’ a nice meal. We luv helpin’ our furiends find good noms. Ms. A recently became a Chewy customer after Nubs quit eatin’ his prior noms.
Yep, he liked the noms from Chewy that we gave him so well, he started refusin’ to eat that old kibble Ms. A had been feedin’ him. Betch’a she gets him some more of these when they run out too. So, there ya’ have it, sissy and me didn’t want any pawrt of the Instinct Grain Free Minced Recipe with Rabbit, but Nubs gives it 4 paws up. Mommy says she’d give it one thumb cuz the “gravy” didn’t make a mess. As fur Chewy? As always we give them 4 paws each and 2 thumbs.
That’s right Raena. Chewy has purroducts fur all the furry, feathered, finned and even non furries in your family. They offur speedy free shippin’ on all orders of $49.00 and up and a flat rate speedy shippin’ on all others. Hey Raena, has it stopped rainin’ yet?
I’s don’t know sissy. Do I’s look like Mother Nature?
Don’t be a smarty pants Raena. Me wanted to know ifin it was safe to come out and meow ‘bout those noms we tried the other day?.
Safe? Of course it’s safe. I’s thought you wasn’t scared?. I’s thought you were purrtectin’ mommy by lookin’ fur spiders and buggies?.
What? Uh, me is. Anyways, let’s meow ‘bout those noms. Me used to eat them all the time befur you were born.
Really sissy? You used to get the Stella & Chewy’s duck, duck, goose all the time?
This is a sponsored post. We received the Stella & Chewy’s duck, duck goose in exchange for our fair and honest opinion. As always, we tell it like we see it.
Me did. But they started puttin’ too much bone in ‘em and mommy quit buyin’ ‘em. So, when she saw them offured fur review, she said we could give ‘em a try. Let’s see what Chewy has to say ‘bout ‘em.

Me’s happy to repurrt that they seem, to have gotten the message. There were far less bones in this bag of morsels. And as you can see by the ingedient list, there’s none of those questionable ingredients our humans worry so ‘bout. It comes in 4 sizes, from 3.5 oz. to 18 oz. and ranges in purrice from $7.99 to $35.99. Stella & Chewy’s freeze dried noms also comes in 5 different flavors. So Raena, what did you think ‘bout the duck, duck, goose?
What? Are you furinally gonna let me meow? I’s liked ‘em fine. Of course mommy had to break ‘em up a bit befur we could eat ‘em, but they were mighty tasty. And ya’ know what makes mommy happy, besides fewer bones? There’s no fish. We sure do get tired of seein’ foods with a meaty ingredient listed like duck only to see tuna listed like 2nd or 3rd on the list. But I’s don’t see any goose sissy? Where’s the goose?
Sorry sissy. I’s give the Stella & Chewy’s duck, duck, goose 3 paws up. It tastes good, has good ingredients and is easy to break apawrt.
Fanks Raena. Me too gives ‘em 3 paws up fur all the same reasons. Mommy lends her thumb up and said she was happy to find fewer bones this time.
Don’t furget how much we luvs Chewy, sissy. They have purroducts fur all the furry, feathered and scaled furiends in your life. And an auto ship purrogram what allows ya’ to save even more money on every order. They have great customer service peeps and the speediest furee shippin’ ‘round. Well, it’s furee fur all orders of $49.00 and up. There’s a low flat rate speedy shippin’ fur all other orders. And, Chewy has the bestest boxes ever.

Hey, is anypawdy out there? It’s me, RaenaBelle. Kittens!!! Have we had a week or what? Storms all the time and then that nasty ole lawn crew came and scared mine’s sissy.
Me wasn’t scared, Raena!!! Me was just tryin’ to be safe. You know one of our sweet furiends pointed out that our hearin’ is way better than human peeps ears, so all that racket just might bust our ear drums ifin we hang out too close to it.
Um Sure sissy, whatever you say.
(Raena meows under her breath) I’s don’t think so, sissy, but that’s a good one.
Anyways, at least we got some treats after the lawn crew left. And we even had a sun puddle fur a minute this meownin’. We wasn’t sure we were gonna get any based on all those storm warnings last night. Ya’ reckon we might get some more of those tasty treats today, sissy?
Me bets ifin we give mommy “The Face” we’re sure to get some. Furst, we oughtta tell everypawdy ‘bout ‘em.
Disclaimer: We received the Merrick Back Country treats in exchange for our honest opinion.Neither Chewy, nor Merrick are responsible fur the content of this post unless otherwise stated. And we always tell it like we see it. We only bring you products we use or have tried and believe would be of interest to you, our readers and friends.
You’re right sissy, we should. We were so excited to see treats on the review list this month from Chewy.com. We weren’t aware that Merrick made freeze dried raw treats, so we just had to try ‘em. We got the Grain-Free Real Chicken recipe in a 1 ounce bag. They also come in Grain-Free Real Salmon fur $2.72 a bag. It is a small bag, but the bag is filled to the top. And comparin’ freeze dried treat purrices, they’re purretty reasonably purriced.
Yeah Raena, they are. But they’re more like a topper than a true freeze dried treat like we’re used too. Most of the freeze dried treats we eat are 1 ingredient, like chicken breast or chicken liver. So let’s take a look at the ingredient list of the Merrick Back Country Grain-Free Freeze Dried Real Chicken Recipe.
Chicken, Chicken Liver, Dried Peas, Dried Potatoes, Gelatin, Salt, Mixed Tocopherols (Preservative).
3,805 kcal/kg, 3 kcal/treat
Yep sissy, and they’re shaped in little tubes that can be fairly easily broken or crushed and sprinkled over food. Let’s see what Chewy lists as the key benefits.
Real whole pieces of raw, freeze-dried chicken
Freeze-dried pieces lock in all the nutritional benefits of chicken in its natural state, in an easily digestible format
More nutrients are absorbed, and fewer pass through
Morsels are also loaded with incredible, naturally fresh flavor cats love
Not for human consumption.
As you can see, there’s none of those questionable ingredients overtly mentioned in the ingredient list. We’re not sure what pawrt of the chicken is used, but they ain’t chicky breasts fur sure. So, let’s get to the taste testin’. After the lawn crew cleared out, things settled down a bit and mommy gave us a few of these Merrick Back Country chicken treats. At furst, I’s wasn’t sure what to do with them. They rolled nicely, and made fur great battin’ purractice. But then mommy broke a couple into smaller pieces and offured them to me in her hand. I’s took mine’s furst bite and then mine’s second and so on. They may not be pure white chicky breasts, but they are purretty tasty. I’s would have to give them 3 paws up. Sissy, what did you think?
Well Raena, me knew ‘zactly what to do with them. Me ate ‘em all up. You’re right, they’re fur sure not chicky breasts, but they are purretty tasty indeed. Me does purrfur the single ingredient freeze dried treat, but these ain’t bad fur havin’ peas and taters in ‘em. Me gives them 3 paws up too. And, cuz of the purrice, those lookin’ fur an affurdable freeze dried treat fur your furries, might wanna check these out.
Fanky fanks sissy. Mommy says cuz they’re easy to break or crumble, and cuz we ate ‘em, she would give them a thumb up too. And as always, Chewy sent ‘em in a great box with packin’ paper too. Chewy has lots of great purroducts fur your furry, feathered and scaled furmily members. They offur speedy furee shippin’ on all orders $49.00 and over, and a flat rate fee fur all other orders. You can save even more by settin’ up an auto ship so you’ll never run out of your pet’s favorite noms, treats and supplies. Don’t worry, you can always skip, cancel or delay any shipment, as well as edit and add or remove any items you might only need once; like a new litter box, collar or somethin’. And, Chewy has the bestest Customer Service on the planet.
Hey Raena, don’t furget, we need to link up with the Pet Parade blog hop.
Fanky fanks sissy. We also wanna remind everypawdy that we were recently innerviewed by our sweet furiend Valentine. He posted the furst half of the innerview last Caturday. Ifin ya’ missed it, you can read it here. And tomorrow, he’ll be postin’ the “Rest of the Story”. MOL Don’t worry, we’ll remind ya’ tomorrow too. He asked some great questions that some of ya’ might not know ‘bout us. I’s gotta go now, and see ifin we can meow mommy outta some more of those treats.
Till the next time……………………………………Be Blest!!!
